Make Money Online

Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.

But it's hard to tell hype from the real deal. I did a search on "make money online" and "making money online", and much of the information out there is just promoting various infoproducts, mostly about Internet marketing. I see why people sometimes ask, "Is anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts?" So I put together a list of business opportunities with legitimate companies that:
  • Pay cash, not just points towards rewards or a chance to win money
  • Don't require you to have your own Web domain or your own products
  • Don't involve any hard-selling
  • Aren't just promoting more Internet marketing
  • Give a good return on your time investment
In the interest of objectivity, none of the links below are affiliate links, and none of them have paid or provided any other consideration for their presence here. These are legitimate companies with business models that allow you to get paid for a wide range of activities.

Smart and Easy Way to Get Free Traffic

An advertisement swap or ad swap is simply an arrangement where you agree to put up someone else’s ad on your site or email newsletter in exchange for them doing the same. The goal of an ad swap is mainly to get exposure for a specific purpose, such as selling products/services or improving awareness of your brand/site. This is different from a link exchange because you are not seeking to improve your search engine rank. The link value doesn’t matter at all. What matters is getting visitors into your web site.

Four Pre-Requisites for a Successful Ad Swap

  1. Equal traffic and exposure: Both parties ought to have websites that receive a steady amount of visitors everyday, or an email list with a decent amount of subscribers. Otherwise, there is no meaning in setting up an ad swap in the first place. Ad swaps are most agreeable when both parties have an equivalent audience reach/traffic count.
  2. Fair and Good Ad placement: Traffic flows more easily to you when your ad is displayed in a spot which is easily viewable and accessible by visitors. While site designs may differ, both parties should endeavor to exchange ads that are displayed in a similar fashion. A pop-under does not capture visitor attention in the same way as a site-wide banner, so seek to use equivalent ad formats too.
  3. High Relevancy: In the best scenario, an ad swap should occur between websites in the same niche, as both parties would benefit from a trade in visitors with an already established interest on the same topic. But it is possible for trades to occur for sites in different niches. The essential point to remember is that your ad/message MUST be relevant to the page or site where it is placed and vice versa for your ad partner.
  4. No Conflicting Purpose. If you’re a merchant selling a product or a firm offering a service, you should not do ad swaps with competitors (other merchants/firms in the same niche). However ad swaps can be done for joint promotion of a specific event or shared project. You also should not do an ad swap with a site that contradicts your brand’s ethos or image.
There is one more important factor and that’s networking. Webmasters and bloggers are often inundated with requests for link trades: they have a defensive barrier against requests from strangers. Unless your site has some reputation or authority in your niche, ad swaps usually need to be prefaced with an established relationship. People are far more likely to do ad swaps after they become more comfortable with you, when they don’t see you as a leech but a potential benefit. So keep this in mind as well when you aim to fulfill the four other prerequisites.

Types of Ad Swaps You Can Set Up

All ad swaps can be measured with tracking links and analytics so both parties can compare how many hits they received with the clicks they sent out. If you’re doing an ad swap with a friend or prefer a looser agreement, you can forgo click data and stats altogether. The choice is up to you. Here are some ad swap formats you can use.
  • On-site Banners and Text Links. This includes banners of all sizes and text links on a site-wide basis or on specific webpages. Includes blog post promos.
  • Email Newsletters. Involves inserting a mention of your ad partner’s website or product/offer. This can be accompanied by a personal endorsement or not.
  • RSS Feed Ads. These are either text links or image banners placed within an RSS feed.

Online Money Making Secrets

Money making secrets for online business ventures include affiliate marketing, online stores, paid surveys, MLM businesses, hired-for-service opportunities and many other ways to earn an income for almost any adventurous person. Many novices as well as seasoned entrepreneurs have proved that there are several ways to make cash through Internet methods that are viable and very productive. It may seem that there are many secret ways to make money online merely by the fact that the Internet is still a mystery to many would-be business owners or to others who need to hire out their services. Exploring the various Internet money-making opportunities that are currently available can help to de-mystify the online business mystique.

Technical advancements and unrealistic hype are two of the main reasons that online money-making opportunities seem to be out of reach to the average person. Many people over the age of 35 are not as computer literate as is required to even explore the many cash flow opportunities that lay dormant within the virtual world. Tapping into secret ways to make money online requires a modest amount of technical knowledge, but not a vast array of IT skills that only a college graduate can posses. Users that have a general knowledge of computer related skills that include Internet connection requirements and general computer functions can break into some money making secrets that will add extra income or could provide for a fulltime living via the Internet.

Advertising hype is all over the Internet, making it confusing for many Internet users to determine which opportunities are legitimate and which are merely smoke and mirrors. A lot of advertisements offer secret ways to make money online as if hardly anyone else has tapped into its particular opportunity. Since it is virtually impossible for any governing body to regulate what is and isn't allowed on the World Wide Web regarding information, it is best to filter through each opportunity using certain common sense guidelines. Advertising hype that offers to provide massive amounts of quick income with virtually no work should most likely be avoided. While there are a few people in the world who may have hit on an idea that provided them massive wealth in a few months, by and large, this is not the norm.

Money-making opportunities that require the user to pay a company a fee in order to make money are rarely good ideas. Investing in a franchise or paying for viable tools to earn an income is realistic, for example, but paying others for a job opportunity is not always successful. In most cases, a company should be paying the skilled person for their expertise rather than vice versa. Opportunities that offer free or very low fees for pre-built business opportunities may also imply that all a person needs to make huge profits from their money making secrets are included within their particular business package. Buyers should beware and always read the fine print as to the extra marketing tools that will need to be purchased in order to make the business successful. This form of hype can cost more and more as the months go on without large returns on the initial investment. Companies that offer these opportunities make money off of the marketing and business tools that are constantly being advertised to their owners.

Although there are many pitfalls and some disappointing information on the World Wide Web as to legitimate potential for making an income, there are many legitimate sources to investigate that can offer ways to earn cash online. Secret ways to make money online are really only secrets to the less informed. In order to find a way to earn cash through Internet methods, research is the first order of business for anyone. Keeping in mind personal talents, expertise, and abilities that can be brought to the table for a business idea are key to matching up with the right online opportunities. For example, those who have really made it in affiliate marketing use content rich sites that exploit an area of expertise that they may possess or wish to knowledgeably target. Systematically building an affiliate site can be monetarily rewarding as the building blocks of information, SEO strategies and solid affiliate programs are added.

Some MLM business opportunities can be viable as well, although MLM ventures should be thoroughly invested before jumping on the bandwagon. For years, MLM schemes have been touted as one of the top money making secrets in both the offline and online world. Many people have made large, yearly incomes from these ventures, but many also have been scammed or disappointed by unsuccessful efforts. Some of the earmarks of a good MLM opportunity will be longevity of business, good reports from longtime owners and a clean financial history for up to 10 years. While many people are anxious to get in on the ground floor of an MLM opportunity, thorough research as to any opportunities' organization, structure, service, support and marketing education is tremendously important. For those who want to find secret ways to make money online, a balance between riding the first wave of a great idea while exerting cautious research is highly recommended. There are many secrets to making money online in today's continually evolving virtual marketplace for anyone who is willing to learn just a little about computers, the Internet and themselves.

Small business Ideas to Grow Daily Income

Starting a small business is not an easy step for a person who never knows how to make money on Internet. But there are many ways you can choose and start earning the right and straight way. All you need is the patience and time. Because every successful earner on Internet never earned at beginning. People fed up too quickly when they never see any earning coming out from their websites or business. Here are some quick ideas you can choose and start your small business to grow up your daily income.
  1. Earn though AdSense

Start a website. Choose any topic you are interested most and can write with relax. For example if you can write on fitness, go and start a fitness advice website. Populate your website with useful content daily. Submit it into different search engines and directories to get few link backs. Remember, take care of your visitors and never thought about any money at least during the first month. Then go and sign up for google AdSense and embed AdSense ads in your website. Try harder, promote it and you’ll be getting $$ in your AdSense account.
Now start another website and double your income. Do it again and again. It needs time but it is the simplest method you can try.
  2. Earn with Affiliate Marketing

Getting income from affiliate marketing is another quick way to go. Start promoting other people’s products though any affiliate network like Commission Junction, LinkShare, NeverBlueAds etc. Use generic website and SEO traffic to sell products or use PPC(pay per click) advertisement networks like adwords, YPN (Yahoo Publisher Network) and MSN adcenter. PPC is the quickest way to go.
  3. Start website Flipping

Website flipping is an old but still successful idea to earn huge profits. Buy some new and old (expired) domains and put related contents on them. Build as many links as you can. Generate some traffic and page rank and then Sell it. You can get a good amount of profit from every website you flipped out.
  4. Start Blogging

Blogging is the most successful and easy idea to get income daily. You can blog on anything. Just choose a favorite topic of yours, buy a domain, a hosting account, install wordpress and start blogging. Promote your blog and build as many commentator’s community as you can. I personally started a blog few days ago and i am getting daily 30 to 40 hits from google within just 2 days. All was because of good and quality content. You can then use different advertisement networks or sell advertisement space to different bigger companies or blog owners. You can earn up to $2000 per blog per week easily if you work harder.
  5. Work as a Freelance

Everyone have some kind of special skill. For example, I am an excellent php developer and I know i have done so many things in php that no-body was able to do. I use my php skills to earn a lot of profit from freelance sites like eLance, rentacoder etc. You can also do the same. It does not matter if you don’t know php. If you are good designer, have good English and can write articles, a good system administrator or any skill. You can still use your skills to work as a Freelance.
  6. Develop your own Products

If you are a good brain stormer , think and create some unique product that no-body have done before and hire some developer/designers to build that product. Launch it . Believe me nothing but this idea is one of the best and long tail earning way.
  7. Write E-Books and promote them

There are people who earned thousands every week by selling their ebooks. E-book is a very successful business these days. You can write on any topic, like Internet Marketing, health & fitness, beauty etc. Write the ebook yourself or get some ghost content writer to do so. Writing an e-book is not harder. I have written my first e-book in just 4 days on (Wordpress).

Just like I have done for this article.

11. Include your call to action
A reader is 100% more likely to do what you tell them to do if you actually tell them to do something!

Make Money Using Your Digital Camera

Making money using your digital images has never been easier. Microstock photography sites have now made it possible for just about anyone to earn money from their digital images. Microstock photography allows users to sell their digital images for free. Users are encouraged to upload their digital images to a microstock site. Every time your image is downloaded by a registered user, you receive money. The amount you take home depends on the size and resolution of the image downloaded. iStockphoto, Dreamstime, Fotolia and Shutterstock are popular microstock sites. Although the payout per picture is not that high, your earnings do add up. In fact, you can make thousands of dollars a month from selling many of their digital images.

Tips to making money through microstock photography

1: Image Quality is Important
A high end camera is not required to produce acceptable images. Any high resolution digital camera can do the job.

2: Your Photos Will Be Reviewed
Each individual image submitted to microstock sites will be reviewed. Therefore, it is important to analyze your own images before submission. Also, make sure to read all the image terms and requirements before submission. Images are sometimes rejected. Today, many of the prominent microstock photography sites have tutorials that you can follow to help you take fantastic images.

3: Subject matter is important
Content does matter. Certain subject matters, such as business and food images are popular. However, images of family and flowers may not make the cut. Do some research and see what image types are downloaded the most. This will give you an idea of what sells and potentially what to focus on. Also, images containing people may require you to complete a model release form. Please read the terms and conditions of the microstock site before making such submissions.

4: Portfolio Development Takes Time
To make a serious income from microstock sites, it is important to develop a portfolio containing a many high quality images. Also, make your images keyword rich. Relevant keywords will allow your images to appear more frequently in customer searches. Also, submit your images to numerous microstock sites. This increases the probability of your images being downloaded. With these notes in mind, you can be on your way to making serious money using only your digital camera!

Ten New Ways to Make Money Online

So you want to ditch your corporate cubicle and join the ranks of web workers? But you have a mortgage, maybe a dependent or two, and a taste for Venti Mochas from Starbucks? You can make money in the new economy, though it might not be as easy or cushy as keeping your old economy job. I’m not talking about advertising or affiliate marketing or selling your junk on eBay. Those are so last millennium! I’m talking about the new new economy.

1. Offer your professional expertise in an online marketplace

These days, you can do more than just sell your old books via Amazon and your old Coach handbags via eBay—now you can sell your professional capabilities in a marketplace. No longer are you limited to looking for a permanent or contract job on Web 1.0 style job sites like Monster or CareerBuilder. The new breed of freelancing and project-oriented sites let companies needing help describe their projects. Then freelancers and small businesses offer bids or ideas or proposals from which those buyers can choose.
Elance covers everything from programming and writing to consulting and design, while RentACoder focuses on software, natch. If you’re a graphic designer, check out options like Design Outpost or LogoWorks–you don’t have to find the customers, they’ll come to you. Wannabe industry analysts might sign up for TechDirt’s Insight Community, a marketplace for ideas about technology marketing.

2. Sell photos on stock photography sites

If people regularly oooo and aaaaah over your Flickr pics, maybe you’re destined for photographic greatness or maybe just for a few extra dollars. It’s easier than ever to get your photos out in front of the public, which of course means a tremendous amount of competition, but also means it might be an convenient way for you to build up a secondary income stream. Where can you upload and market your photos?

3. Blog for pay

Despite the explosion of blogs, it’s hard to find good writers who can turn around a solidly-written post on an interesting topic quickly. GigaOM is always looking for bloggers with great content ideas and solid writing skills. How do you get noticed? Comment and link to blogging network sites. Write blog posts that are polished and not overly personal (although showing some personality is a plus).

4. Or start your own blog network

If you like the business side of things–selling advertising, hiring and managing employees, attracting investors–and have the stomach to go up against the likes of Weblogs, Inc., GigaOmniMedia, b5media, maybe you should make an entire business out of blogs. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you’ll get a lot of time to write yourself though.

5. Provide service and support for open source software

Just because the software is free doesn’t mean you can’t make money on it–just ask Red Hat, a well-known distributor of Linux that sports a market cap of more than four billion dollars. As a solo web worker, you might not want to jump in and compete with big companies offering Linux support, but how about offering support for web content management systems like WordPress or Drupal? After getting comfortable with your own installation, you can pretty easily jump into helping other people set them up and configure them.

6. Online life coaching

Who has time to go meet a personal coach at an office? And don’t the new generation of web workers need to be met by their coaches in the same way that they work: via email, IM, and VoIP? You could, of course, go through some life coaching certification program, but on the web, reputation is more important than credentials. I bet Tony Robbins isn’t certified as a life coach–and no one can argue with his success. For an example of someone building up their profile and business online as a coach, check out Pamela Slim of Ganas Consulting and the Escape from Cubicle Nation blog.

7. Virtually assist other web workers

Freelancers and small businesses desperately need help running their businesses, but they’re not about to hire a secretary to come sit in the family room and answer phone calls. As a virtual assistant, you might do anything from making travel reservations to handling expense reimbursements to paying bills to arranging for a dog sitter. And you do it all from your own home office, interacting with your clients online and by phone. You can make $20 and up an hour doing this sort of work, depending on your expertise.

8. Build services atop Amazon Web Services

Elastic computing on AWS is so cool… and so incredibly primitive right now. Did you know that you can’t even count on your virtual hard drive on EC2 to store your data permanently? That’s why people are making money right now by offering services on top of AWS. Make it easier for people to use Amazon’s scalability web infrastructure like Enomaly has with elasticlive, a scalable web hosting platform built on AWS.

9. Write reviews for pay or perks

If you blog for any length of time on a particular topic–parenting, mobile phones, or PCs, for example–you will likely be approached to do book or product reviews. You can get free stuff this way, but are you selling your soul? Is there any such thing as a free laptop? These are decisions you’ll have to make for yourself, because no one agrees upon what ethical rules apply to bloggers. Even less do people agree on services like PayPerPost that pay you to write reviews on your blog. Check out disclosure rules closely and see whether such a gig would meet your own personal standards or not.

10. Become a virtual gold farmer

A half million Chinese now earn income by acquiring and selling World of Warcraft gold to gamers in other countries. If you’re not a young person living in China, this probably isn’t a viable option for you. But what’s intriguing about it is the opportunity to make real money working in a virtual economy. People are making real-world money in Second Life too.

What is an Affiliate Business?

Let me explain with an example: Let us assume that I have a website where I sell some cool shirts. In order to increase the number of sales, I tell my friends to bring in customers and if their customers bought any shirts from my site, then I will give a percentage of the income form that sale to my friends. Thus, my friends will earn commissions on the sales that are generated from the customers they bring. Such scheme can be called as an affiliate program.

Affiliate program are simply schemes where people need to bring customers to some websites in order to make purchases. And if a purchase is made then some commission will be given. There are many sites where affiliate programs are offered. Some sites are related to shopping, some are related to hosting etc.

Is This Work Easy To Do?

Actually, this is a tough business. Bringing in targeted customers is not easy work to do. If you do not want to wait for a long time and if you cannot take the risk of seeing no results after very hard work: then I suggest you choose any other business like freelancing, making website etc instead of only relying on affiliate business.

What Do You Need In Order To Start This Business?

The first thing you need is a website where you can promote the affiliate program. This website needs to have excellent/neutral/informative content about the promoted products. And this website needs to get targeted traffic. The second thing that you need is the knowledge about the products that you want to promote. There needs to be very good reason for the customers to first visit your site and then from there, they will go to the site where they can actually buy the product.

If your site does not provide real, neutral and useful information about the products that you are promoting, then why will users come to your site instead of going directly to the site where they can purchase the products? In order to be successful in affiliate business, you will need lot of targeted traffic. If content in your site is excellent, then it will automatically attract visitors from search engines.

Can You Start Affiliate Business?

Do you think that you have some really good information about a niche/topic? For example: Let’s say that I love to play PC games and that I can write use really useful and correct reviews about them. Then I can start a website about game reviews and then I can join an affiliate program of a site which sells these games. Just remember that, in order to be successful in affiliate business, you may have to wait for a long time before you will see any good results. First make a site on a niche/topic of your interest then search for any affiliate programs that are related to your website.

Internet Online Business

An Internet online business may be the answer for some people who are having trouble finding work or who want to be their own boss. The lure of doing work in one's pajamas all day can be mighty appealing and in some cases the dream has become a reality. For most entrepreneurs however, who are interested in an Internet online business, pajamas are best left beside the bed and jeans and sweat shirt are the attire of the day. In all cases, work at home means at least as hard a workday as an office job and the reality is that home based business owners spend three to four hours longer each day at their jobs than commuters going to an office. So the whole thing really becomes a trade-off of sorts. Less pay, longer hours, higher taxes because one is self employed, finding affordable health insurance and blah, blah, blah. For a few very hardworking and resourceful entrepreneurs, the payoffs are tremendous and that is the goal most home based business owners are striving to achieve.

When a person reads the words "Internet online business," there are two ways the phrase can be interpreted. The phrase may mean to someone that it is a job wholly confined to the Internet and all work is done completely online. Or it might mean to another reader a business based in a home that needs the Internet to do business. A look at both types of meanings will probably be helpful to the reader. What can give a person's life stability in the midst of troubled times?

Consider first that there are a number of Internet online business scams that are parading out on the Web as legitimate opportunities. These are often presented from beautiful and very enticing websites, but are as phony as promises from politicians. Assembly at home jobs are fakes and frauds and should be ignored like TV commercials. Medical billing businesses will take thousands of dollars from a person and leave all the work of finding doctors who want help billing patients, which turn out to be zero because large corporations do the billing work for physicians in the 21st century. Processing emails is another rip-off as well as paying for a list of companies that need work at home employees which always turns out to be companies that don't need home workers. There are the 1-900 numbers to call for job information and just don't even bother with them and the typing at home jobs that promise two hundred dollars a day. Come on, typists don't make over ten dollars an hour so who is going to hire someone and pay them two hundred dollars for a day's work?

Now there are some legitimate Internet online business opportunities that Web based. One can earn money taking surveys online, but care should be taken to check a company out. A person will certainly not get rich taking these surveys, which often pay in gift certificates to well-known department stores. There are some legitimate data entry jobs, but they are surrounded by a lot of scam jobs with the same promises. Research and do the homework ahead of time such as asking for a lot of references and calling others who work for the same company. It is for certain that any home based business opportunity that asks for money upfront should be thoroughly investigated. Very few employers ever ask potential employees for money to work at their company and if they do, one should head for the hills the other way.

One of the most lucrative Internet online business opportunities is built around building one's own web affiliate network. There are some online companies that can give guidance in constructing an affiliate network. The simple explanation of an affiliate network is websites paying other websites to advertise on their home pages and getting a commission when a visitor clicks on the ad. In truth, most affiliate programs may only pay a few hundred dollars a month, but high performing affiliates can make thousands of dollars each month. A person needs a basic understanding of Internet inner workings to take on this project, but if done correctly can provide a perpetual income to the network creator.

On the other hand, there are plenty of legitimate Internet online business opportunities that are based on franchises that can be purchased. Internet online business franchises that have been proven to be successful are usually not inexpensive. They often require not only a franchise buy in fee that can be in the tens of thousands of dollars, but also often ask that the potential owner have a sizable net worth. The great strength of a franchise is that the program has been tested and proven to work under most circumstances. But no matter what business a person chooses, working at home is not all it's cracked up to be. There are interruptions, temptations (like too beautiful a day to spend inside) and family members who may not understand the dynamics of a work at home culture. Then there is the extra seven and a half percent tax one has to pay for social security and the list goes on.
